hello, here my scans from estern Germany,

the strong'st transponder for me is the 12475 H

I have attached a few pictures and listed a small table below from the frequencies I managed to lock from the Sub Saharan beam of Eutelsat 36B.
To date, I have locked three frequencies but there might be another two that I can lock if the signal levels improve slightly over the course of a day or two.

Locked to date are:
11474H, SR27500 (DSTV mux)
12054H, SR27500 (DSTV mux)
12245H, SR27500 (DSTV mux) - this is a strong signal, the bin lid kids round 'ere are getting locks on this one.

Octagon SF8008 found it, TBS6925 cannot lock it. Possibly S2X?

I'm getting a weak signal at 11593 V (Iraq ?) below lock though.

12691 H 1110 (Al-Sirat / assirat-ch) is coming through at a good level so I know the dish and LNB are a good match.

Once I have cleared some of the foliage in the back garden a more efficient dish will be going up

When I compare your scan from yesterday with your December scan, however, I come to a different result for the ex DVB-S frequencies.... (also assuming that the scans were made with two different TBS cards)...

12130 H (1.5dB over Link Margin in December - did not appear in last BS)
12187 V (3.4dB over LM in December - 0.6dB over LM in last BS)
12302 V (3.7dB o.LM - 1.6dB o.LM)
12360 H (4.7 - 3.1)
12398 H (5.1 - 3.5)
12437 H (5 - 3.6)
12475 H (5.5 - 3.6)

kingofsat shows them belonging to obscure African "bouquets" . Why would they broadcast this to us?

...to us? ... sorry, but I can´t confirm "to us"... as I wrote above: Non of them lockable on 2.2m from my place (southwest Germany)...

The TBS card was always 6983 in all scans.
I don't worry too much about comparisons with the former DVB-S frequencies or I evaluate them scientifically. I always had problems with some frequencies or they were very poorly received. This hasn't been the case for a few days and I have reserves. Reception is what counts for me!! The frequencies 12130 H, 12187 V no longer work here. They may be pushed away by the neighbors. I'll keep an eye on it.

I had the opportunity to try it this morning. The Africa beams are noticeably weaker but the influence of the Russian beam seems to be weaker. The 12149 V, 12130H and the 12169 H are now visible.
This is not possible in the evening

Is there anything lockable from the Russian beam at your location? Germany seems a bit of a weird one as it sits between the South African beam and the Russian one.

a bit of a late reply, don't forget that I have a VH LNB so reception of the Russian beam can't be good.
