Russian forums suggest that signal has increased to the south (Israel especially) but reduced to the east. Let's hope there's er... hope for Western Yoorop.

You are right, and this is due to the fact that he has the power of irradiation of 54 dBW and not by 52 dBW as it was on 36A. As you know,2 dBW in addition is an enormous gain for the reception regardless of the size of the antenna.

Have been reading Russian forums on this. General consensus is that signal has weakened to the east and west of the 36A footprints but has very much increased to the south (Israel). The sizeable Russian population there is very happy!

Last night's RF scan on 36E brought a surprising reception of three SSA frequencies from 36C
12207Η@36Ε.JPG 12360Η@36Ε.JPG 12475Η@36Ε.JPG

Being a lot closer to the end of the Russian beam than the end of the weakend SSA beam sidelobe in Europe, I cannot help thinking that this out of footprint reception that far east perhaps is a deliberate effort to reduce the Russian beam's reception in Europe, since most transponders use the same frequency! Of course I cannot know how would a circular LNB for the Russian beam perform in my area/dish size, but it kinda explains why the Russian beam reception has weakend towards the West and strengthened towards the south!
I also see various bumps on the diagram which give no lock with around 3db each!

What about the ones of 36B Subsahara Africa ?
From 36B+C altogether you should get 27 frequencies if you don't miss any.
