Has a 3m satellite dish with motor drive.
When you drive it to the east-west end, there will be quite a lot of stress on the engine.
Thinking about lowering the voltage to the motor from 36V to 24V, and then the motor should run slower and less power/wear on the engine.
Thankful for advice, if this is appropriate?

Yes, in most cases that will work fine, but can happen that there will be not enough power of motor (running on 24V) to pull dish out of the end positions.

The best way would be to re gear the actuator, are install this 30 inch heavy duty 3 inch boom actuator.

.. I'll have to double check but i think the RC2000 controllers do that (reduce the voltage)
