4.5m dish and mount for sale .

Very nice! If it was closer to me, and I already did not nave big dish, I would certainly be interested.

The only way it would fit in my garden would be if I removed the tower . But been looking for a new house with south facing back garden with nice bit of land then only problem then is planning permission but I wonder how much this 4.5 with mount will go for hate to think how much shipping cost will be .

Installation 4.5 dish in the garden

Its got a nice counter weight at the rear . But I wonder how the winner of the 4.5 will get it home one or 2 bits . Just got a 36 inch jack on the rear of my 3.7 m

Bargain, cost way more than that brand new.
Same buyer bought every single dish in sizes from 2.7m up to to 4.5m, looks like the "pro's" were bidding strong today on the bigger stuff.

Some nice bargains lower down the scale in dish sizes. a pair of 2 x 2.0m dishes went for around £240, same buyer also bought the 1.5m on stand for £260 and also the 3 x Scientific Atlanta positioners for £115. All bargains in my opinion, well done to that buyer, some nice kit in the bag at value prices

Yes MB I do know of a few larges dishes going but yes thats a cheap buy even at £4K , I wont be changing mine until I move house then see whats available there is a few available from the states but with 25% duty its going to be a case of buying from europe .

I have not had a play with the ASC1 yet but I will work out what to do with this SMW Lnb first . I will check what being received then check the list and see how much is missing . Once the LNB is sorted I will cut the arms off and fit the new ones .

Yes it was fun watching the auction its a pity you can do last second bids like you can on Ebay but it was someone called Jones who bought the dish .

Cheers

I managed to purchase and collect the tripod "reflector stand".
Although on collection the item on the red carpet was on the pallet and I bunged it on the car without thinking.
I don't think it belongs, can it be identified, should phone back the auctioneers?

It looks like a polar mount. What did the lot description say?

The polarmomunt is not complete, this is a part of a 2.40m Channel Master polarmount, I have one in the backyard,
also pictures availlable here:

Thank you for the reply.
I suspect it has a lot missing, comparing it with those photographs.
Looking at it, it has a 3.5 inch collar and the reflector stand is 4 inch. :confused

The 4.5 m has been sold ?

Yes, sold for £4000 GBP including the huge mount and the structure it was on. Add on 20% VAT and auction comission fees of just over 15%
to get the full price. The same buyer bought every dish in the auction from 2.7m up to 4.5m

Just to add my couple of cents to the topic: Some time ago helped my friend to get nice 4.6m Gregorian type Andrew dish (light verion of what I have). Final price was 1k EUR.
