Its a beautiful sunny morning here, but cold Ive just run a scan on 42E and several of the high frequency low symbol rate channels I havent seen before have popped up.

SkyTurk 360 12650 H 4250
ShowTurk 12656H 4444

being two of them

Dish is an oval zone 2 ex Sky dish with the lnb cranked round as far as it will go (which is not far enough!). Its not ideal but its all I had lying around when I put this installation together.

How about optimising that last little bit of skew by rotating the entire dish a few degrees?

Cant be bothered - its bolted to the vertical post that holds the 53E dish up :D

At some point I'm going to rearrange the dish farm which will free up some of the dishes, and I can put a proper 80 cm dish up in its place

A quick tweak of the dish (with a garden cane jammed into the back of the rim!) has bought another 30 or so channels in.

Im delighted at this - many of them I have never seen before and a hadful havent been seen since the 42E analogues went off YEARS ago!

:D

Some of them are borderline watchable with lots of breakup on them but I dont care about that - Ive managed to get to see them

I blind scanned 42E this morning on my second dish in the garden-i've picked up at least 10 channels i havent received before---happy days!

Yeah i've set the 2nd dish up permanently on 42E with a second lnb on 36E. The dish is mounted on the back of the garage with the cables running across to the house into the 16 lnb switch. I figured i'd get more pointing the 60cm directly at 42E then getting what i could on the TD88 with the multi lnb set up on the house. If i switch between the two dishes i get more on the 60cm 5 feet of the ground, thats crazy. I will take the 42E lnb off the TD88 and maybe centre the dish on 13E with Astra 28 being the furthest east lnb and try and get more stuff westward. I just cant be bothered to go up the ladder when its this cold to tinker with the TD88. Thanks for the info.
