hoi,

new fta package on 11027 h 7500 dvbs-2

Cant receive anything here with the 1.2CM.. Are you still receiving this service in The Netherlands?

2night does the nightshift!

11027 H 7500 is 8PSK 3/4, so 7.9 dB is needed.
Right now with thick cloud and turbulence, I'm a bit below that and locking only every now and then. Surely it will be fine later.

Quite sure this transponder is on Central Asia beam.
To compare, 11039 V 3700 is 10 dB now. So if you're below that, not much chance.

11039V 3700 is around the 8dB mark now but v cloudy but pictures are fine.
However 11027 H 7500 the new frequency is only around 6dB using the 1.2CM and a DR HD F15 receiver.
Just under lock. That much further west here. Need a bigger dish!
Surprising how well 11039V comes in whereas some other Central Asia beams don't even register...!

Now getting brief & intermittent locks on 11039V on a 1.1m dish! (Heavily overcast here now too)

It wont scan but the signal is there :D You guys with the bigger dishes - may well be worth giving this one a try atm

EDIT - corrected dish size to 1.1m A/S

The same intermittent locks at 4.1/4.2 dB this morning - I shall see if I can tweak the dish a bit later on.

My reception of 11039 Ver 3700 5/6 for first time with my big dish (AMS 3.4m)

I can receive this Freq 11039 V with a 1m Dish and registering a healthy 12db. I do not think that this freq is on AfricaSat Asian beam though.
more likely on the Europe beam.
Also receivable as well is freq 11175 H with a 6db signal. Here again I believe this Freq to be on the AfricaSat Europe beam.

Unlikely to be the Europe beam - everything else on that beam comes in at very high strength here. Ive never had any pictures off the channels on 11039V & Ive only ever seen flickers of below lock signal twice.

Well I am saying that because the Africasat Asian beam doesn't extend to down here, Malta whilst the African Europe beam extends to
the lower edge here.

Many of these maps bear little resemblance to the actual coverage area I suspect to appease the rights holders - I could easily receive the MBC 26E beam on an 90cm dish here 30 miles south of Edinburgh - which supposedly only covers the Mediterranean basin area!

I also got some reception off the old Eute 25A bird which again shouldnt have had any worthwhile signal at all this far north.

So I take the maps more as a guide rather than an accurate statement :)
