Eutelsat 48C is now on air with two channels

Abu Dhabi Al Emarat
Saudi Sport 1

A massive signal here even on a scruffy old roughly realigned 80cm dish. You could probably get it on a 60cm dish.

11226V
3062 3/4

Just blind scanning it now to see if anything else turns up :)

Flysat lists several feeds frequencies

although I dont hold out much hope with the APSK stuff.

Eutelsat 48C is the old W3 / W6 / 21A. This is interesting as Eutel W6 / 21A was never receivable here, but I did have W3 at 7E a few times in past years.

Getting them around 65% on my TD88 in the pouring rain.

No feeds noted active, but I'll leave this dish here for the time being and scan it every couple of hours

I need this heavy rain to stop i feel for a fair chance....

48C is slightly inclined (0.4 degrees) so it'll be worth keeping an eye on to see if the signal varies as she loops up and down

N2YO tracking for Eutel 48C

http://www.n2yo.com/?s=25673

Currently 0.3 degrees up and the signal levels here on my Skybox F3 are:

SI 90%
SQ 70%

YUp those are the 2 channels. Now less than 0.2 degrees up so a good time to try for this one.

Just had a facebook report in about reception in the Midlands on an 80cm.

The audio slightly distorts from time to time on SD ch-1. I've tried mono and it and it stills does it. Is it the inclination causing a doppler effect or am i barking up the wrong tree? I've blind scanned and only receive the two channels at the moment.

I'll have a listen - I normally run my receivers with the sound down & just watch the pictures, with my rock mp3's on the headphones!

The sound distorts for 2 seconds about every 10 seconds.

Ah yes - a sort of burble on it, like a badly compressed mp3...

Get yourself some wireless headphones - Ive used them for years and they keep the OH sweet - I can listen to my stuff and she can watch her crime dramas in peace even tho we are in the same room.
