Hi,

I have a Humax 5400Z patched, a Force Toroidal 90cm, 4LNBs pointing to Thor/Sirius/Astra/Hot Bird. Since I heard the news that you could from 30th May get BBC on Astra 2D, my questions are -

1) How do I connect 5LNBs to my Humax?
I believe I need another 2 way Diseq switch, is this correct?
What are the settings I need on my Humax?

2) Is the Force Dish that I have equiv to normal 1.2m dish?
(this info is from 28.2 forum - Oslo needs 1.2m dish to receive channels from Astra 2D).

Thanks for your help.

You could try one of these Beast, ON/OFF POWER CONTROL PS1 2 X 1 http://www.globalcom.co.uk/accesories/ps1.html then you could switch between the 28.2 LNb and the others on the DiseqC switch, by using the standby button.

I would not say that the 90cm Torroidal is equivalent to a 1.2 metre though.

Can't comment on the hummy, but I am using an old Force DuoMaster to a Toroidal 90 with the five LNB's you mention.

Advantage with the Force is its two LNB connections. I got the first 4 LNB's connected on LNB-A and the Astra 2 (28.2E) on LNB-B
Could in theory connect 8 LNB's to the Force.

Know this doesn't help you, but perhaps others.

In the manual under DiSeqC Input there is this statement -

"According to the option and position of DiSEqC switch,
select Disabled, Tone Burst A to B and DiSEqC A to D."

Could it means that I could use some kind of "Tone Bust" switch and have in theory the same option as the Force (8 LNBs) connected?

Don't think so Beast, I would think that it is an either, or, option.
