I cannot get reception past 42 East. But that dose not stop me trying.I had my usual go at 46 East this morning, nothing. So I had a look at 50East .To my suprise I got a transponder.
12512 H 2222 3/4. Turksat-Tani.But cannot get a lock on it.That is the Alien. I am going to try my TM5402HD I think that has a better tuner.

So I had a look at 50East
What makes you think that the dish is looking at 50E?

It comes from the Intalsat 26 at 50.5E in inclined orbit.

i did have a lock on this tp but lost it now, when will she be back inline please to check again.

I was actually looking at this satellite yesterday! It's very heavily inclined though - almost 5 degrees. Surprised we get a signal up here though... does the footprint change when the satellite moves above and below the equator? Maybe that would explain the ability to receive it here if it's 5 degrees above the equator - shifting the footprint further north?

Intelsat 26 is at 50.3 East, next Clarke-belt pass will be 22:15 UTC, or tomorrow 10:13 UTC.

thanks hvdh i will try to take a look i did have a good lock on that tp, but by the time i was making a slot for it it got weaker.

I will over the weekend, but not tonight - Im too tired.

getting stronger..
