TURKSAT TANITIM on 11596 V 2960 5/6 DVB-S.
Just 8.5 dB, I guess (and hope) that is East beam?

Nothing here neither, but rainy again though.

From my QTH... (1.80m)
test carrier on 10940 H but 11596 V is too weak for me.

These are erroneous data transponders at Flysat, coming from the inclined Eutelsat 48A.

I am beginning to wonder from the lack of activity that this satellite may have two purposes:

To hold the position for Turksst for positioning of a future satellite
An in orbit spare for the main Turksst position at 42 east

I note that 2A is coming up to its retirement age.

The problem with speculation is .. I could be completely wrong!

Sounds about right to me AndyX & the more I think about it makes more sense Intelsat do that.

For example Intelsat 28 @ 32.8 launched 2011 with 16 Ku band transponders only one in use,
Intelsat 25 providing back up @ 31.5 west,
Intelsat 16 on standby @ 76.2 west,
Intelsat 30 on standby @ 95 west.

TURKSAT TANITIM is back, on 11472 H 2960 5/6 (11.5 dB here).
Also a wide peak around 11580 V, still without lock.

Edit: 11580 V 30000 1/2 DVB-S, is being switched on right now.
