Nobbly, I'm confused. Irdeto, Betacrypt, Nagravision and Viaccess I think I understand. But I've never heard of TPScrypt. Presumably, also, the Seca files are not Seca II. Can you clarify, please.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 19-Jul-02 AT 00:09 AM (GMT)]Hello guys

Would you mind if I use this thread to ask a quick question about 6 in-1. I tried to program a purple fun card on the 'Elvis' with 6-in-1 and after the flash and internal prom seemed ok I got an 'overrun' error on the external prom. Does that mean that the 64k on the purple isn't enough memory?

Thanks

Jimbo

Sorry...answered my own question by using the new C++ beta version 8 of AD-Teknik s/ware for programming funcards. Much better than the ATMEL DOS version and it's non-destructive when auto-detecting. It worked fine. Sorry for the trouble

The TPS channels are transmitted in both Viaccess2 and TPScrypt.
TPScrypt, normally, can only be decoded with an official TPS receiver which you can rent when you take out a subscription.
This stops pirates using unofficial receivers to decode TPS as it can only be received in V2.

The french group modified the firmware in all the original TPS boxes and for those who didn't rent a receiver they were given new V2 cards.

At the time it was the cheapest option.......
