a few things could stop you getting this bird :-), location>line of site>will your dish go that far ?.
I'm thinking my elevation is slightly out, as signal is weak at 45°w, my dish will go well past 45w though.

well I can get it on my 1mtr dish, but not on my 1.2 as I only have a 12 inch actuator on the 1.2 and can only hit 30w to about 55e,

if you really want to get that far round it would be a good idea to a post here http://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/385-dish-setup-single-sat-multi-sat-motorised-systems/

with more details/ maybe some pics of your setup :-).
With my old triax TD110 and Motec 2100 motor I used to get 57°e to 58°w without a problem (even picked up a few transponders from the old nilesat).

I removed that setup about 2 years ago, and replaced it with a Channel Master 1.2m with polar mount and 18" actuator.

Since then the furthest west i've found anything is 45°w as all signals have vanished from 58°w, but the furthest east I can go now is 53°e as the dish hits the pole lol.

30°w is 370 pulses on the v-box, 45°w is at 570 pulses and the west limit (before my dish hits the roof) is at 828, so I guess it's also possible that it doesn't quite reach round far enough to catch 61.5°w either.

Both transponders lockable on the TD88 ..
12.641H 6.1 db
and
12522 H 4.5 db

pity there is nothing to see ..all encrypted...but do-able on a relatively small dish

If your trying to look for 61.5W Echostar 16, try TP 12414L, use a symbol rate of 20000, with an FEC of 7/8, this TP has the "You have a dish at 61.5W" channel on it (channel 9582) and is in the open.

Well, well...look who made it here from my side of the pond. Hope all is well with you my friend. Dish network sat all nagravision encrypted with the exception of the trailer as Terryl pointed out.

I have not looked at this satellite for some time.I set the TM blind scanning while I was doing something else. All it found was tv 1-15 on 12642 H 28888 73% scrambled.
TM 5402HD TD88.

Continuing active 2 tp's for Europe (Jun-2013).
This position we have located many since 2005 when tp 12563V27000 locate the data (LyngSat it would never add satellite), the tp disappears late 2011. Throughout Spain could tune antenna is 80cm.

Tp is a very good sign (reported OK with 60cm antenna), the other has lower levels for days and can not be active.
12522 H 28888 3/4.- SNR 62%, AGC 99% BER 0 10.0dB
12642 H 28888 3/4.- SNR 81%, AGC 99% BER 0 13.0dB ==> with perfect 60cm in Spain (peninsula).

Changes since summer 2013.

Being single horizon, ostaculo takes away any sign, in my case, a wall of 125cm leaves me almost blind to this position.

For a few days (+24/26-1 -2014), "TC My Channel" and "TV Series" issued in open / fta, now they are again coded tp 12642 H 28888 3/4.

Active channels now.

PS: Good fishing.

Amazonas 2/3 a 61'0°Oeste.

12522 H 28888 3/4.- SNR 62%, AGC 99% BER 0 10.0dB
12642 H 28888 3/4.- SNR 81%, AGC 99% BER 0 13.0dB ==> con 60cm perfecto en España (peninsula).

PD: Buena pesca.

Seriously doubt we'd have any chance at all Terryl ..
The bird you refer too has no European Beams ...Just US tight Conus ..
Nonetheless ..welcome to the group mate..

Just scanned in this 9 channel tp with Filon being the only channel with programming:

Amazonas 2-61w
12174 V 30000
mpeg-4

Must be a North American footprint:

Europe does not have emission normally, but these two tp's activated we can tune by mistake or some proof.
Years only lasted one month ago the error in the satellite Hispasat 30°West of the tp's to america for a month it could tp tune it in Europe but.

Some photos of the satellite spectrum where we can see tp's assets, the rest, there is nothing worth.
The marking is tp 12642 H 28888 with 75.6dbμV in spectrum analyzer (Rover SRM-50).
As you can see, there is more tp's assets.

Hey Costa, yah this side has some different hardware questions then on our side, I like to go back in the far reaches of my mind to dust off the stuff from the other side.

Use a big enough dish and anything is possible, these satellites don't have good enough side skirts to keep it all in one spot.

I have a friend down in South America that works at a deep space monitoring site, he can get the American DVB satellites just fine with one of the 20 meter dishes, hooks his subbed Dish STB up when he is alone, watches American TV programming, keeps him from going all cabin fever type thingy.
