Monmouth
Anyone had any success at 68.5E with such a low elevation ? In West of the UK.

Thanks

Should note this is the Africa/EU beam as noticed the footprint is min 80cm so was going to try at home.

Assuming you have a line of sight, it's possible for the EU beam. The signal comes and goes in waves but it's relatively strong. I had good success on my Penta 85cm dish on the other side of the Estuary from you.

I have, I managed to get around 11 channels with a 80cm dish in SW Essex

Thanks all will give it a shot and report back at some point.

Many channels here on the 1m Orbital on the roof.

Scanning as of a minute ago (it is hot on the roof). I would expect more to be available late evening.

The steerable 1m dish (rh looking from the rear) installed on the roof at your workplace is identical bar the LNB and had no limits set. If it has been maintained correctly in the past seven years then you will get similar.

It would do if I still worked there...

You will need a very good horizon out to your south east - east arc. Any nearby houses, hills, tall trees fences etc forget it. The elevation is less than 3 degrees in Monmouth!

Need coordinates,

(and a dish bigger than 80cm on the top of a tower, unobstructed to the East)

Why 68.5E though ?

i used to get it all the time in Sheffield, my location was high on a hill & the dish looked like it was pointing at the ground, however since moving to Staffordshire i dont get it anymore. i also used to get the MTA transponder on 70.5°E at that location. what are you after on there ? each to their own but there really wasnt anything special on there just mainly african christian channels personally not my thing but as its a hard catch in the UK i would tune it in every so often just to check i was still getting it.
