When i had the 1.8 up i got fox movies no problems on 7w, I also get it on 26E mate so the choice really is yours

hello mate lovin the dish fixed the scuff found a mount 33 quid and a ground mount too should be up maybe tomoz hopefully get fox and a few other one too thanks for the reply

I think you will find that 7W is slightly easier. Another advantage is that the elevation is higher, so easier to avoid obstacles. Though mount it so that you have view of both sats if you can, and then compare.

yeah id rather 7w there is alot more on that one plus i tried getting 26e once back in the day and got swamped by 28e thanks for your help does anyone know of a high tp signal rate i can aim for when i put her up? ive got a small dish at 5w for the french tp's i was going to aim for that then move it west hope i find it with no problems.

With a solid 1.8m you won't need a strong TP particularly, it will bring in the vertical transponders and then some. If you need one to start with try 11938V, very easily picked up on a 1.8m. One you have that, you can fine tune everything for the horizonatals.

Yes, trying for 5W is a pretty fail-safe way of getting to 7W. Align for that then just wind the nut for azimth adjustment ( if equipped) west a little, and in it will come.

just fort id let you know ive set her up found 7w in no time sadly cannot get fox movies at the mo but fox series is ok, i will be tweeking all week ive picked up 259 tv and 52 radio many v and h tp best signal is about 65% siganl and 60% quality most is about 55 to 60 mark im thinking maybe a new lnb invacom c120 but well see thanks for all your help everyone

What 1.8m dish do you have and what type? I gather its a prime focus? since you have an adjustable feedhorn. Of course, critical to getting the dish to work well is getting the feedhorn at the best position. Ive had fox movies on 1.8m prime focus no probs.

Fox Series is easy anyway, its on a vertical TP

while waiting for my cm feedhorn i was playing around with a sharp 0.3 and an invacom 0.3 both offset lnbs and a few years old now i was very surprised the invacom come in on some tp 15% more giving me a high of 73% on v tp and h tp comming in at 60% + also in light rain now im wondering if its worth changing the invacoms feedhorn to a cm one? there maybe one for sale on here soon...
