9e on a sky minidish work?

Will 9E work fine on a Sky zone 1 mini dish? Am in the north east England.
 
I'm in the north east as well (County Durham area). I would have thought a mini dish is too small! You MIGHT get away with a 60cm solid, but don't quote me on that!:cool:
 
Should be able to get channels off the wide beam, but the directed beams, nope, but that said minidishes are far from optimal when it comes to other satellites, especially when it comes to weather given they suffer rain fade even on the best of days... :)

And also in the north east here too, very nearby to Pontop Pike... :)
 
According to the satellite's map on Lyngsat it should be fine on a mini dish(you only need a bigger dish if you are in the far north of Scotland) but was hoping someone who has done it would know and reply.

Am only interested in the wide beam channels anyway.

I am near to Pontop Pike too. Am over in Blackhill just down the road from the transmitter(okay it isn't exactly a short walk away).
 
No harm in having a go though, if the dish is already up on the wall, it just needs swinging over to 9E and tilting upwards a bit & the LNB skew adjusting, just most people here tend to use bigger dishes rather than the minidish as the bigger the dish the better the signal... :)
 
I am planning to eventually put up a Wavefrontier T55 dish and on that get Astra 2, Astra 1 and Hotbird.
