Over the last couple of days, I've resurrected my multi sat setup, due to a 'programming clash' with SWMBO on Saturday evening. Looking at it today, I decided to check to see if there was an updated version of the (free) software, which there was. Downloaded and installed, overwriting the old version so as not to lose the DISEQC settings. Started the new version and got an immediate warning that the 'free' program no longer supports DISEQC. So, I've had to pay for the 'Pro' version to get a program that works on my multisat.

I don't begrudge the €35 but it would have been nice to get a warning about the restrictions before downloading...

I'll see your Yorkshireman points and raise you a double portion of Haggis as my Mum's 'Hamilton' family were from north of the border...

"If it's not broke then don't fix it" is one rule for satellite testing.

"If it was not broke before and you did fix it and now it's broke can you put it back the way it was before?" is another.

"If you broke it by fixing it and can't put it back the way it was before fixing it, can you hide it?" is also on the list of rules.

"I if broke while you were fixing it and can't hide it can you buy a new one?" looks like the rule you came close to.

And are "Yorkshireman" points any thing like Brownie" points??

Well Terry, it wasn't broken. But in the same way, Windows 8 wasn't broken but you were swayed into upgrading to 8.1....

The program seemed quite unstable and crashed quite often....so I thought a more up to date version might cure the problem....it didn't...

'Yorkshireman Points' are awarded for outstanding thriftiness......I think I've just had them rescinded...

Brownies are soft in the middle, whilst Yorkshiremen are hard all the way through.
