Hi all ,here is my 1.2 winegard dish curently pointing at Astra 19.2 .It wasn't easy to find a location among those trees to get a clear line of view .Next year I will put my dish on Stab 120 motor so I can get few more satellites .

Tricky looking - but well engineered!

Very nice pics polonez. How your dish managed to see anything of the sky is a surprise

Thanks guys , yeah it wasn't easy , I was walking around my cottage house holding compass, looking for a little opening in that green canopy .I don't like the idea of putting a big antenna high up on building as I prefer an easy access to it ...wind load , snow and ice removal and so on . Took my chances with one spot by the fence and after making a solid concrete base I was rewarded with strong 95% signal .There is no way I can get a full H -H sweep but all birds from 28.8 E up to 12.5 W should come in strong. Here is one more pic. You can see the dish on the left side ,hidden behind the tree.

Nice install, you must have really nice fresh air living there in the woods.

Excellent install. If you painted it green it would be invisible!

That's awesome, how long did it take you to get it set up and working?

Very nice photo's and looks a good job done in a difficult but idyllic location. Nice.

Evaluating the installation site took me more than a week ( at one point I lost hope and almost gave up )Once I picked the place I kept my fingers crossed ( that was still a guessing game if I get the signal or not ) After two days of digging a hole in the ground and pouring close to 100 kg of concrete into it I became one BIG SMILE .You know that feeling when you slowly move the dish with eyes glued to the tv screen and BINGO ..the quality bar shoots up and turns green.

Hi guys , just an update of my satellite set up. I have added smaller 76cm winegard dish last summer to receive Hot Bird . It works generally ok .When gets windy and trees sway in the summer breeze I do lose signal for split second ..it is frustrating but can live with this .I have no intention to fall any more trees as I like the forest the way it is .

If they were mine, I would have spray painted the back and the mounts of the dishes dark green to make them less visible.

Leaf interference is a pain. Often cutting just one or two branches does the trick but then you would have to stand outside when it is windy to find the right ones.

Regardless, it is a good install.
