A Pole-Axing Conundrum!

Humax HDR1100S Freesat Recorder. Octagon UHD satellite box with Gibertini 1m motorised dish. Triax TD78 for Freesat. Triax TD64 for Freesat to 3 rooms. 2 Panasonic Freeview+ HD recorders.

HI EVERYONE!

This may sound daft, but I really don't know which poles to use for when I re-install my dish and motor on my shed. I have a 6 foot 2 inch alloy type pole which is pretty light and strong and I wouldn't need the brackets so far apart. Also, I have a 10 foot 2 inch solid steel pole which would stand on the ground with TK brackets. I'd welcome any thoughts as which of these would be best to use on the install getting it straight. I'll be using a digital inclinometer to do the job.

We need to know the size/make of your dish.
A pole needs to be strong enough to hold the weight of your dish/motor, in strong winds, for larger dishes you need stronger mounts, especially if it's in an exposed position.
Can you site your dish on the ground?
 
My dish is a 1m Gibertini. The poles I have are actually scaffolding poles so I have no doubts as to the strength. Sadly I can't mount it at ground level due to obstructions.
