ABS test card on 3W - whats the deal ...?

Channel Master 1.8M on Edision MIO 4K & GTMEDIA Combo, and CM1.2M on Octagon SF8008
My Location

I can get 15.5\16db on Sky News on my 1.2m dish (SE London\Kent) but the test card on 3W is marginal \ breakup.

On another forum, someone suggests the power was turned down from a year or so ago? can anyone confirm?

What are your reports?

I'm talking about 11462 - V - 3062

(The other TP with Odeon 24 \ ReteCapri etc, booms in at 14.5\15db)

be great to compare some 1.2m dish owners in the south, it seems to be better in the midlands....

1.2m dish.
Same here marginal / breakup as well. 11462 V 3062.
The other transponder 12739 V 13175 2/3 is rock solid.
 
Central Scotland
1.2m dish.
11462 V 3062. It did used to be stronger but breaks up badly now.
Transponder 12739 V 13175 2/3 is strong.
 
Could be breakup / intrusion from 11465H

7.3db on my Raven 1.8m in Scotland, Seems about normal for that TP from my past experience.
 
funny how u get that much signal on that TP compared to me - but we're at a similar strength signal for MBC2 on 7w

That is odd. Just checked 3W again and still strong.

Tonight in the North East on 1.2M signal is up, but varies mostly around 3.0-4.6db, with the peaks of up to 6.9db and occasional no locks.
 
wow - first time ive had it almost solid, at 5.8db - seems like they've turned up the volume :)

Yes stronger signals here also on the 100cm set up.DSCN3595.webp
 
Then signal went up to 8.6 dB a couple of hours later.
 
Maybe theyre reading this and taking pity on us and our ever quest for more signal
 
sure theres nothing on it to watch lol so who cares if its weak signal.

That transponder should be vertical even though you set 13V in the settings it searchers both polarities. Octagon still have not sorted this out...
 
12db . That's more like it . :)

My golden insterstar couldn't lock it . Pathetic

Luckily my trusty octagon sf8008 and icecrypt 6600 could on a blind scan

Now an info channel for ABS showing videos of previous ABS launches.
Previous test card on this satellite 11462 V 3062 has gone now.

Lasted 30 min test transmission now no signal ?
