My Satellite Setup
Gibertini 1m dish,BU LNB, TBS6925 PC Card
70W - 75E
My Location
East Sussex Coast,United Kingdom
Thought I'd post some TS Reader grabs showing reception of 75E here near Brighton using a trusty unbranded 85cm mesh dish with a Black Ultra/Prof 8000. I've now managed to receive all of the North Beam Tps.
Also there's a TSR grab of the Canadian Forces Radio & TV mux on Eutelsat 70A.

Ah what I wouldn't do for 75E! Is the reception stable on the 85cm? Also, when is the best time to catch 70.5e? I tried it a few weeks ago but couldn't get a signal.

Hi Captain,

75E is quite variable, at times nothing then at other times Q36 in SmartDVB. Best times are late evening and just before dawn. Same applies to 70.5E...at best the Canadian mux reaches Q20.
I am sure with maybe a 1.2m dish reception would be more stable
TBH, I'm stunned I get either sat at all with the old 85cm LOL

Very impressive. 53E is about as far east as I can get here due to a hill in the way.

Well done for catching that one. The maximum here (West London) was 72.X East until a fir tree grew a few hundred yards away.

75's Northern footprint

This morning I was getting almost unbroken video from the North Beam transponders, which are usually quite intermittent. No idea why as it was cloudy at the time.
Also, I have at last received some video from 12690v, the weakest North Beam Tp for me. I have attached a grab from TS.
