Abu Dhabi Sports on Nilesat 201.

Question for the guy's in the UK - what kind of signal's are you getting from Nilesat 201

12092 v 27500 & 12111h 27500 , I have swung my 2.4 channel master round and i am getting no signal at all from this, I am based in Birmingham and used to get Showtime 24/7 and only would loose picture in heavy rain, I presume Nilesat 201 is in the same area as Nilesat 101 I dont need to tweek the dish.

Any help or feedback would be great.

The N201 signal is very poor indeed in the UK. In the west midlands you are probably looking at 3.5m or bigger - we know a lad in Berkshire is using a 2.4m and the signal is reasonable.

A lad in Swansea with a 2.4 also gets zilch.

I get no signal from Admc Sport on Nilesat 201, 7 West using a 2.4m dish.On 26 East Badr 6 i get signal of around 50%-60% from Admc Sport.

i heard the signal from badr will be removed..al jazeera sport also will be shifted to nilsat only ..i think in the few coming months we will see some major changes

nowt here in north notts..thinking of putting a 3m dish up for badr6 as i have a nice little corner of the garden for the dish to go..but its finding 1 at a reasonable price..any jonsa 3/3.5 in the uk?...looked on ebay and saw a 3m dish for sale in cyprus for only 150 euro,s!!..its not fair..us in the uk dont have a much choice on dishes,and what is available is overpriced...

That would be the only way of stopping people,from the Uk watching Admc Sports.I have not seen any reports of anyone in the Uk, who can get Admc sports on 7 West.

Who are you talking about? If it is Gary that dish is receiving it from Badr6.

Even so, total usage of overspill probably is pretty small, as you suggest.

Yes it looks like i might need to invest in a 3m/ 3.7 m dish, I have tried to move my dish around to 26 east and i have no signal at all from this bird, The problem i have is that i have 30 foot oak trees in the back of the garden and the dish is going straight through the middle of it, I dont think any one at present is picking up ADMC sports from the UK on Nilesat 201, If they are can people please reply and post.

One more question Viasat Sweeden on 5e show all the english premier league football do we know if the broadcast the matches in English or is it Sweeden.

keep chasing fringe reception satellites like Nilesat, I could go out and spend over 2k for a 3.7m and i still would not know if i could pick up the channels until the beast arrives.

Hello,

a friend of mine in eastern of Germany (near Cottbus) cannot catch these three transponders from Nilesat 201 with 365 PFA!

So it looks bad to catch them in the UK (with "only" 370cm).

Who knows? The biggest anyone has tried at the moment is a 2.4m and that receives nothing. If someone could post a spectrum trace from a 2.4m it would give an idea if 3.5m would do. The transponders would need to be easily visible on a 2.4m for them to be resolvable with a 3.5m.

Err you do realise just how big a 3.5m dish is dont you??? A dish that big is unlikely to get planning permission in a residential area.

My previous post about 3.5m dishes in Birmingham was a guess - until someone actually tries and reports back it we have absolutely no idea what sized dish is required - you might fit a dish and then find it doesnt work - it might easily be over 5m!
