US actor Karl Malden, best known for his roles in films such as A Streetcar Named Desire and On the Waterfront, has died at the age of 97.

He was also famous for playing Lt Mike Stone in the long-running TV series, The Streets of San Francisco.

A versatile actor indeed. Another film I liked with Marlon Brando was One Eyed Jacks.

Loved him in Streets of San Francisco, had a fairly good run at 97 though. RIP Karl

I have seen some of his films and few episodes. It is always sad to hear about the death of actors and actresses who gave us their best performances.
Quite frequent deaths over the past few weeks, and these are just the ones that are reported here.
Time for me to start thinking of writing my will.
RIP Karl Malden.
 
Being a 70s kid, The Streets Of San Francisco (as well as Starsky And Hutch,Kojak, and especially The Sweeney) were some of my favourite TV shows.
