Actuator on 150cm dish died, need replacement

Hi all!

Back in 2009 I made some half-hearted effort to get my dish working (old thread here). So I went and bought me a Dreambox 7020 and a V-Box II to drive the motor and let it rest until today.

Now the reed-switch in the motor seems to be broken and I'm looking into buying a new actuator. I still am a newb to this so I wonder if there is a smoother solution so I can skip the Vbox? Read something about USALS? Those motors don't need an extra steering-box, do they? Are there actuators with USALS big enough for my dish?

A 1.5m dish will be too big and heavy for any of the DiSEqC motors I'm aware of, although that's not to say that one doesn't exist.
 
Cheaper to replace the reed sensor or actuator. As above, you will find the dish too heavy for an H~H DiSEqC motor.
 
Sweden was the place where Arkivators (linear actuators) were manufactured, and from memory they did have a DiSeqC 1.2 option a few years back.

Right, I've mailed them twice now about spare parts, since my motor is an Arkivator. Unfortunately they're not replying. I never tried soldering like you suggested in post nr. 25 in the old thread, maybe that does the trick.
