At present i have 8 lnbs connected to an 8 way diseqc switch connected to my Icecrypt s3500hdcci. On the diseqc 1.1 setting i can select up to 16 lnbs. I havent seen a 16 way input lnb switch for sale. If i added 2 more lnbs what would be the best way to add them to my set up? Cheers Paul

;)

Oh well done. Top class muppetry from me!!! Thankyou

There are also 1/10 Diseqc available on the market, and they are also very well cascadable. I have 4 of them in my setup.

Ive just ordered the emp that Analoguesat recommended-if i set up my 2nd dish permanent i'll have no problems with expansion. 50 quid direct from emp

Paul! You where so fast with ordering 1/16 EMP Centauri! So you over-payed for item little bit. From my personal experience with EMP Centauri if you write them e-mail to _info@emp-centauri.cz and simply ask for good price then they would sell it to you for only 33,60 EUR plus shipping. Shipping to Latvia coasted 16 EUR, to UK could be even less.

Yeah i saw that price but it said for trade/wholesellers. I was going to wait a few days and deliberate but made an impulse buy. Should have gone for a UK seller really as mentioned above. Hopefully i wont have to wait too long for it.

And, by the way, after ordering 2x EMP Centauri 1/16 with door-delivery was only 62,20 EUR payed. That is exactly the price you have payed for only one. How do you like that? :-shifty

Never impulse buy.....I normally dont...Had a look at red apple and they didnt stock it. Anyhow no worries --i just need to sell my 2/1, 4/1 and 8/1 switches and get some cash back.

Comon, new 4/1 costs about 1 EUR, 1/8 little bit more. I can not imagine you can sell your 3 used Diseqc for price of one beer in the pub :-wow
To not open new tread, I have question: Are Diseqc 1/10 popular enough in UK? I think they are quet OK and lots of people use them in my country as a primary switch. I plan to go to London next month, if there is need for Diseqc 1/10, I could bring couple of them for price I get them here (free delivery).

Cant answer that one Rima, i didnt know you could get them.

Cant remember having seen a 10 way before, although Ive found one on Amazon:

If i added 2 more lnbs what would be the best way to add them to my set up?
Just continue using the 8/1 switch and cascade a DiSEqC 1.0, 4/1 with it. That will give you 11 LNBs.

In Germany _http://www.ewerk-onlineshop.de/sat-technik/diseqc-schalter/sonstige-schalter/opticum-diseqc-10-1-schalter-dsg-10-1/a-23421/
But also as said buy Huevos you can cascade several Diseqc 1/4 after Diseqc 1/8, so maximum 32 LNBs. But, remember that cascade makes resulting signal little bit weaker. For strong signals it really does not matter, but for weak ones could be an issue.

Never heard of a 10 way Diseqc before but have been tempted to get a EMP Centauri 16 way as I have two EMP 8 ways, one in Finland and one in the UK which work very well.

Once I had not very successful experience with Diseqc 1/8 (perhaps it was my fault), so went Diseqc 1/10 way and pretty happy with them. Now in setup I have 3 Diseqc 1/10 cascaded after Diseqc1/4 and never have any negative issues. That looks like that:

I need to read up on cascading, i dont understand it yet. Im technically minded but just havent got round to learning what to do.
