Evening,
How do i add a satellite to a TM5402. I cant find anything in the manual and a want to add the 28E Badr channels.

Thanks for any help.

28E Badr?? 26E !

Just use one of the 0.0 satellites at the end of the satellite list - I havent found a way of editing the database to insert a satellite keep them all neatly in order.

The M3 is a fine receiver but its got a few niggles with it.

This is something that I wrote sometime ago for the m1.It may be of help. Yet again maybe, not.:)

Adding Satellites to the TM
If I want to add a satellite to my TM I first go to satellite Set Up.
Press OK.Then OK again to get the satellite list up.The scanned satellites are ticked .You could
rename an unscanned one like 31.5E Or Scroll down the list to the bottom,to Spare slots ----0 or something like that.
|Press green to rename.Insert new name or rename old one.
Example HOTBIRD. Yellow to Save. Exit. OK .Then Yellow Save again to place a tick on the new satellite.Exit. Exit.
Scroll down to Motorized Setting.OK. Your new satellite should be in the satellite slot.
Scroll down to Sat Degree. Insert new sat Degree in my case 013.0 E.At this stage I usualy press Goto Satellite. That saves and sends the dish to the new Satellite for the next stage.
Exit. Yes to save. Now we need a transponder.Down to Advanced or PID Search.Your renamed sat should be in the Satellite slot. Green to add Transponder.Enter a known TP.In this case 11554. Add symbol Rate 3700. Add Polarization V. Red to scan. Job done. Now you can add tp's to scan or go to motorized Settings and do a network scan.
If you renamed an existing satellite you will need to delete all the Transponders for the Deleted satellite.

Can be done with the Clarke Tech Studio editor easily, just edit one that you cannot receive then move to the correct orbital slot, highlight then Control, move.

I'll have to work out what satellites I won't use then as there are no ___0 in the list.

Clarke Tech editor is the way I go about it with my 5402 models or just rename an existing sat on your list that isn't receiving any channels although the orbital position will not be correct.

Can be moved to correct orbital slot with 'drag and drop' on the editor

did a factory reset and the satellite appeared! all working fine now.
