Adding Satellites...............

My Satellite Setup
Technomate 3150 and 5200D with standard 60cm dish and Sky quad LNB.
My Location
Dublin, Ireland
Hi
I live in Dublin and have a Foxsat HDR with Freesat and FTA stations. I also have a Technomate with the FTA stations in another room.
I want to try and get Badr4 26E, Astra1 19.2E and Hotbird 13E as well, as I believe there is a good mix of English sports and movies etc.
What I would like to know is what size dish would I need to use? I realise that I will have to fit 3 more LNB's and some Diseqc switches.

I am trying to get my head around this, so am I right in saying that If I want to feed two boxes I need twin lnb's to two Diseqc's one to each box?

That's all ok, but how do I connect one of these Diseqc switch boxes to my Foxsat that requires 2 feeds, one to view and one to record? Is it possible to do it so I could record any channel, Freesat or the FTA from all the satellites?

Would I need two Diseqc boxes going to the Foxsat, that being the case, would I need quad lnb's or could each lnb cable out be split into two with a splitter?

Hope you can understand my querie and thanks for help in advance.

Not sure what size dish you'd need for badr4, but it will need to be at focus, and most probably over the 1m in size. The other two should be easy enough along with 28E on a 1m dish I would have thought.

The 2nd tuner in the HDR is not operational in non-Freesat mode, so you won't be able to use it for multisat.

You can't use a Splitter with a universal LNB, unless you want to restrict yourself to the same polarity and band for both outputs.
