I borrowed a King Dick from a Heritage Railway to slacken off my MG Midget's water pulley nut prior to refurbishing my Big End.

You need MORE tools "for good", and not just "borrowed" - BTW: those Midgets were never/are my "thing" = not enough carrying capacity or enough "grunt" in standard form (that's from a long term "A series" user/ repairer/modifier many years ago :D) unless, of course, it was that later "Triumph 1500" version = not the good old BMC "powerhouse" (relatively speaking I must admit!) ).
FWIW, I had a very high compression 1100cc Mini Traveller (= "spaceous "estate"!) that "surprised" quite a few "humble" other vehicles - and the odd MGB or two - and so very great "fun" :D. So "King Dick" just "dream on" :D

Good job you never (I assume - because you are "still here"!) found the "limit" of the
Herald / Vitesse /Spitfire /GT6(!) "swing-angle problem" (otherwise you would probably be dead!) - saw that almost happen at an autotest at North Wield airfield in 1970 (have you ever seen the total underside of that chassis being driven "in anger"?). but the guy thankfully managed to "land" it successfully. FWIW, in the same "sweepstake" as that "Vitesse event", I got 3rd place (with the earlier non-estate Mini - same engine!) behind a race-tuned Mini 1000, and a Lotus Cortina! :D
