advice on receiver

hello folks,
i'm new to the forums. i'm planning to install a complete setup for the hotbird satelliteon the some indian channels, now my doubt is which receiver i should go for, i mean in terms of support in the forms and also perfomance vice.
sombody help me please?

Well firstly you do not say which Indian channels you are wanting to watch.
You do not say what your experience consists of.
Do you know anything about Linux?
Do you want to use viewing cards in cams or are you intending using an emulator or patch?

the channels i would like to watch is asianet/asianet+, kairali tv and amruta, the detalis on the satellite say these are clear with out any encryption but when i tried to watch that, the picture is coming perfectly, but no sound. but for that i need a viaccess card. yes i would like to use a patch or any other meansfor that matter as the cost of each channels are too high.
now regarding my experience, i have'nt done any major installations, but have some knowldge about it. but about patching, not much idea,except the things i read from forum

Theres no keys for those channels, so if you want them you wil normally need to subscribe - although some of them have been clear the last week or so.
