I have recently bought a project house and have installed back box's in the rooms ready for sat.
I would like sky+ in the living room and free sat in the bedrooms and kitchen (1 double outlet for sky+ and 5 single in the rooms ).

My questions are as follows and would be gratefull for any answers that will avoid me making silly or expensive mistakes.

1. do i really need to install a distribution box or will an octo lnb on a sky dish suffice?
2. can i mix and match sky+ and freesat from the same lnb?
3. is it worth getting a better dish than a region 1 sky to use with a octo lnb
4. I would like to extend and add two bedrooms once finances allow would a quattro lnb fit a region 1 sky dish is that the best dish to put up or if i have this work in mind or should i have something like a 60cm triax installed and be done with it?

Thanks in advance (sorry for so many questions)

1. No, an Octo is fine - but no expansion capacity left
2. Yes. Each feed is independent.
3. Yes. A Zone 2 would be better in every respect
4. Crumbs for others to answer!

4) AFAIK there is no quattro LNB to fit a $ly minidish. BUT there are some multiswitches (which is what a quattro is made for and is what I think you are hinting at) which will also work with quad lnbs; so, if you get one of that type, you can use four of your octo's outputs to feed the multiswitch.

And I agree with Tivu, a zone two minidish would be much better.

Does anyone know if the sky fitter will fit a zone 2 when i have the install done if i ask for it? i live in the south west so assume its not something they would carry.

If you were a bit further west in Cornwall or parts of Devon you would get one as standard. You could only ask but he may not carry them as standard on his van.
