My Satellite Setup
FREEVIEW BOX VIA OUTDOOR AERIAL
My Location
N.IRELAND
In my area it is necessary to mount two aerials in order to get reception from N.I and Rep of Ireland. Does anybody know what the little junction box for the two aerial cables is called ?

Thanks

Could be a di-plexer.

In England we'd use a group combiner, but between the North and South in Ireland, it may be more difficult, as the South still uses VHF for some channels.

Are you looking for digital reception, which transmitters will you receive from? _http://www.irish-tv.com/digital.asp

I need a diplexer as I require two aerials for my area as I live on the border of N.I and Rep of Ireland. Would it possible to use the little box on the satellite dish that was left with the house. The dish was supplying two tvs in the house and therefore the little box has one cable going in at one side and 4 cables going in the other. (I presume this is some kind of loop system).

Cheers folks

I doubt that this "little box" would work with a UHF TV system as it is designed for much higher frequencies, and by the sounds of it, it could be a DiSEqC switch which defiantely wouldn't work...

Look at my post above and if you answer the questions I've ask, we may be able to advise you.
