Intelsat 10 @ 47.5° East ?
or
Eutelsat 48D/Afghansat 1 @ 48° East ?

I Think the second one .

It's Intelsat 10 @47.5 E, sure 100%.
Same loss moving to 47.0 or 48.0 E (by USALS).

I'd expect 48D to use 11200...11450 (like 48C), or maybe 10950...11200 MHz.

true, that's also what the satellite_delivery_system_descriptor says (from TSReader ;)

DVB-S Orbital Position: 47.5W
Frequency: 0.000 GHz
Modulation: 8PSK (DVB-DSNG/Turbo/DVB-S2)
Polarity: Vertical
Symbol Rate: 1450 MSps
FEC: 5/6

47.5 W, copy/paste or typo? :D
BlindFaith, can you find this descriptor also somewhere in 4T2 or should I really install TSReader for this one?

"Aghani BH" is NOT Afghani, but Lebanese, hence unblurred pretty girls and good video quality!

A while ago I reported on a nearby frequency on this sat, a shopping channel "My Vista TV BH"
http://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/threads/47-5e-intelsat-10.158376/#post-842648
(long gone already)

BH obviously doesn't mean Bosnia Hercegovina, but what instead?

copy/paste, no typo :D I didn't notice this error. It's the descriptor which is faulty

Code:
00000000 -> frequency: 000,00000 GHz
0475 -> orbital_position: 047,5 degrees
36 -> west -> polarization: linear - vertical -> modulation: reserved for future use
0014500 -> symbol_rate: 001,4500 Msymbol/s
04 -> FEC: 5/6 conv. code rate

Dunno why 4/2 doesn't show the NIT. Maybe because the NIT contains syntax errors

Code:
Syntax Error: 13002 TPT->(NIT)->descriptor_length(80) exceeds total descriptor bytes(78) for descriptor_tag 196. Skipping this descriptor
Syntax Error: 3103 TPT->(NIT)->Packet# 53: Error in NIT: coded loop length exceeds remaining valid length of the packet

A Lebanese feed for a singing contest I seems.
Yesterday on about this same frequency quite the contrary, a bearded man raging about himself with black/white flags in the background. :eek:

The only only active frequency I have picked up @ 47.5 east was an Arab Talent show feed similar to the BGT shown on ITV UK.

Can pick up 3 channels on this Sat....Al kass1 - Alkass2 and Aghani BH...using 1.2 Dish. There was also Aljabel TV but according to F*ysat it has changed Freq. Al kass 2 has the lowest signal here 68%, and it has Biss encryption. cannot open it.

Is Aljabel still active on this satellite?

No Aljabel has left that slot....flysat gives a new freq but nothing doing, also Al kass 1 &2 left their slot.

Another feed, 12548 H 6111 3/4: TSNP1 906
It's the Australian Channel 9, but the sign behind him seems to hang in South Africa.
