Aligning dish for Astra 1B 19.2E

My Satellite Setup
Sky+ box plus a free to air SL65/12
My Location
North Wales
My receiver says I am getting Astra 1B 19.2E the dish originally fitted by sky but while new landers were fitted the dish was moved. I have two ways to turn in first is a cheap finder which was never the best and second is to use the receiver which was originally used on a narrow boat and has built in buzzer and meters.

Using the receiver I have tuned in and set it around centre of range where I got a signal but note I have lost some channels like Popgirl with the grandchildren liked.

I realise there is a group of satellites but what I need is to know what programs are using satellite to far East and what programs are using satellite to far West so I can check I have whole range before coming off the roof. Luck I can position a bedroom TV so I can view while moving the dish.

I expected to find this in some general help file and did look but could not find it. So if it is there please can you direct me to it. Guess regularly asked question but can't find the answer.

Thanks Eric

On searching, I found popgirl, and popgirl +1, on Astra 2, 28.2E, does this mean that you're moving your dish back to 28.2E from 19.2E? If the dish has been knocked that badly then you might need to adjust the elevation, very slightly, to peak the signal.

Looked on the box and it says:-
Astra 1B 19.2E
11643 V 27491
V A PCR 2333 2334 2306
The bottom number changes with each of the missing channels but the 11643 V 27491 is shown for all the missing channels so I am wondering if maybe that transponder no longer exists and maybe I need to do a retune? I have two dishes the original at the rear of house is the one with problem. Sky abandoned it saying health and safety would not allow them to go to it as one has to walk on a sloping roof to reach it. So fitted a second dish at low level to front of house so my free to air box uses back dish and sky+ the front dish both with quad LNB's.

Looked at link and sorry don't really know what I am looking for.

So maybe I have aligned the dish OK and the missing channels no longer exist. Grand children don't visit that often so it was only after re-alignment I noticed the channels were missing they may have gone ages ago and I just had not noticed? Popgirl is not one of my personal favourites.

I'm confused with what you are trying to achieve, if you are expecting to see popgirl, as Mickha says, they are on Astra 28.2 and if you have set the receiver to scan for Astra 19.2, then it will only scan a percentage of the channels.

Pop girl changed frequency a couple of weeks ago.

It can now be found on 11307V 27500 2/3

Yes, if that is what you were after, the Pop channels moved, so you need to retune.

Thank you just what I needed. I did not want to re-search until sure I had dish aligned in case I needed to use those channels to align with. Now I know they have moved there is no problem.

Thank you

As you are using a setiing that says Astra1B (which was retired years ago) your frequency lists may well be out of date.

Have a look here

The ones with the light blue background are the ones transmitting in the clear.

Once I realised there had been a change I deleted all channels and let box do a search and re-build the list. Bit of a pain as then I had to move them into the correct order and delete the rubbish but once I realised what had happened all now back to as expected.
