Hi everyone.

I'm planning on buying an Al-Jazeera card, I'm in the south of Portugal where it's very easy to get Nilesat signal, so I'm planning to upgrade to a HD receiver and enjoy HD Channels.
After searching on-line stores all I can find is the 8 channel plan(+1 to +8) and the 10 channel plan (+1 to +10), can anyone tell me if any of this plans allows me to see HD channels in Nilesat?
As far as I can see Irdeto and Viaccess encriptations exist in both Hotbird and Nilesat satellites so all cards are valid in both satellites Am I right?

hi,
ok here is a very simple reply for you:
yes if you have 9+10+ ,HD will be included automaticaly
i advise you take viaccess instead of irdeto
and yes all cards are valid for (nilsat,hotbird and badr)

I have one question I have JSC sport 1-8 viaccess card, is there option only to pay for HD, or I have to upgrate to 9 and 10 and get HD automaticly??? And is this true if I upgrate to 9 and 10 to get HD automaticly???

Because I heard from one dealer that 9 and 10 are go offline on 31.12.2011, I don't know is this true...
 
possibly 9+ and 10+ will change for something else but i dont think aljazeera sport will remove channels ..anyway yes you have to have the 9 and 10 upgrade to get HD ...for now no body knows about whats will happen after ..cheers

I just received info and it is true 31.12.2011. al jazeera will upgrade package...
And if I bought now my card for 9 and 10 channel will valid to 31.12.

So I don't know is it worth to upgrate my card to 9 and 10???

Yes true :)))

What will happen now my card 1-8 is valid to february 2012, if I upgrate 9 and 10... is I still have 1-8 february, and 9 and 10 31.12???

Any news on what card I will need to receive HD after 31st December. Seller still selling channels 1-10

yes there is news ,, now if you activate your card you can have all aljazeera sport package including espn and HDs for 100 us $, but this offer is only valid until the 31-12-11

UPDATE PLEASE -
I need any info regarding what card I will need ""AFTER 1st Jan 2012" to received HD channels on Nilesat.
