I have 90cm dish pointed at hotbird 13 east. All my channels disappeared two week ago and thought due the bad weather that we had recently in the area. played with the dish and all the came back again only for a day. Replaced the LNB and the same happened i.e all the channels came back then disappeared as soon as the receiver switch off. My receiver is opensky FDH. Any idea please

Welcome to the Forum :)

Loose F connector?

Water ingress into the cable?

Sounds like an intermittent connection along the cable run somewhere.

Check the cable(s) at the back of the receiver for tightness too - a few years ago we had someone having intermittent problems - it turned out the connector at the receiver was a bit loose & all the channels disappeared every time the chaps good lady did the cleaning & pulled the tv forward! :D

Had a receiver that did that in the past . Try a different one if you can .

I replaced the two F connection last week end where it worked only for a day after that. however, I suspected the receiver a while a go but what made me nor sure is that it is still fires up and showing the menu of all the channels and able to access all the functions. if it does all that, can it be faulty?

Yes , corrupted software or faulty power supply can lead to this .

The receiver i had was working fine , it would scan the channels , store them in the memory , work fine for a couple of days , then all of the sudden all channels would disappear from the memory and would go to some sort of factory settings .

This is an update. The weather has been good today and had the chance to implement all the above idea/suggestion and was able to find the fault. It was damage in the cable half way through. The cable was damaged then taped but it deteriorated over time. I replaced the damaged part with a new one and got all my channels back. Many thanks for all who contributed to this thread.
