Guys,

I've seen both quad and quattro versions of this LNB available but neither as cheap as this one:

Ebay Item No. 380260736079

Sadly my German isnt great and I cant tell if this is the quad or the quattro version. I have emailed the seller but I think their english is as good as my german!

Can any of you confirm if you think it's a quad or a quattro? I am hoping its a quad as its time to upgrade my multisat setup.

Xav

Snookered a bit myself ............... but lower down the page, it says LNB Quad (Quattro Switch) which is immensely helpful. Not!

But a bit of Googling reveals plenty of hits for Alps Quad and none for Quattro.

So in the absence of absolute clarification, the ambiguity remains.

Sorry.

Looks like a Quad.

The latest model of the ideal ALPS LNB to outdated analog or digital satellite systems convert or expand
- On the LNB up to 4 analog or digital receivers are directly connected (no multiswitch).
Noise figure: 0.4 dB typ. Weatherproof housing, weather rubber cap.

Yes, Google is not massively helpful, thanks for looking :)

I have just found a German site which has both models clearly listed and has a good english version. The price for one is more than ebay but when you buy two its almost the same and cheaper when you buy three or more (thanks to the shipping).

Think I will buy two from here to be sure I get what I need.

Nice result, but please do not post outbound links as per forum rules :)

Sorry! been a while since I posted so forgot that rule. will re-read :)

have you taken a look at the inverto multiconnect bracket and lnbs as they are smaller then the alps in size, might not fit your existing bracket without some modifying

I did have a quick look but as I have the triax 110b with multiholder which currently has alps singles in it, I thought I would take the easy route and just add alps quads as I am pretty sure they should fit.
