Am I using Gemini???

Hi all,
I'm having trouble identifying whether I have the correct image on my 500. Last week I successfully managed to flash Gemini, and in the 'Info', 'About' menu setting, it was confirmed as it stated 'Gemini' (or Gemini Project, I forget).
Since then I have 'playing' by uploading channel lists, downloading cams, and basically cluttering up the memory so much that I couldn't even find the channels that I could originally view. So yesterday I did a factory re-set and tried to re-install Gemini. Even though it was confirmed that the flash was successful, in the 'About' menu it shows the 'Dream Multimedia' logo instead of the Gemini one. The confusing part though is that it says the software version is; release 3.2.0 20.10.2006, which is the Gemini version I think.
Could someone please explain to this newbie.

Hi there again - good to see that you are getting into things

Gemini is an 'adapted' or what have you version of the original. If you reboot the whole system you should see the GP logo come up on your TV screen at the start - if so (and it works OK) then you have Gemini 3.2

Hi again rparkera, thanks for the reply. Yes, I do have the GP logo on my screen, but still not on the 'About' page. I'm sure it was there last week. The 'blue' screen looks good too, so all must be ok.
This last week has been spent mostly scanning forums and guides for methods of putting the 'Dream' into my box, but all that happened was that the memory had become full of, maybe, useless info, hence the reset.
Do you know if there is a thread or site that tells you what cam will go with what channel? My sat is pointing at 28.2, and if say, I wanted to experiment and watch something that is presently locked, say Eur*sp*rt, how do I find out what to download, and where to put it? The info differs on all the guides, hence the confusion.
I can download OK on the blue button, and I should be able to ftp with Filezilla, but I guess I need a step-by-step guide to help me.

Take a look at dreamboxworld.com for starters, some good info there to get you started but as for locked channels on 28.2 the only way to see these is with an official card or cs.:-DOH2

I'm at the point where I just want to unlock a channel, from any satellite, using only free downloadable 'ingredients'. Is this possible or have I misinterpretted much of what I've read.
If someone tells me 'aim the dish at Hotbird, tune into a particular channel, download such and such a cam, ......etc.etc. I would be happy to try it. At the moment though I'm going through all the forums and guides, trying all sorts of different methods, and still getting nowhere.
If, what you say about 28.2 is accurate, then this would explain my getting nowhere at present.
Is cs possible by downloading freely, or should I start by moving my dish.

Try pointing your dish at 19.2 where you can watch D+, Movies, music, sport and mature content.
It is open at present but for how long no one knows. Other than that 13e where you can get TPS, similar package to D+ but not quite as good.
But hey when its free we can not grumble.

Get the latest key bundle from satandream.com. Install evocamd (and the config file) from the Blue Panel.

Then look at 13E and 19.2E and see for yourself what is open.

Add a bouquet called "favs" or something and add channels that interest you to it. If you want to edit it use DreamboxEdit.

Have go and see what you can do :)

If none of that makes sense re-read the Idiot's Guide.
 
Thanks to you all, particularly mhku. I've just seen the final few minutes of Chelsea being beaten by Tottenham on TPS. The Dream is well and truly in my DreamBox.
