Hi all, just having a look here, conditions are not the best but picking a few channels up, I will try again in the next few days when conditions improve :).

I find signal levels vary a lot. Sometimes I get lots of channels on this satellite and other times just one testcard. I guess that is what happens when you live at the edge of the footprint.

Hi Andy, yes I am sure I have had more channels from here in the past, I did try a manual scan on a few other TP and they was trying to lock, like I say conditions are not the best atm, 5W booming in.

Poor during the day, but I have 28 fully locked FTA TV services right now on my 1.1m

Yes indeed. Happy to do a scan for FTV & Encrypted if you think a numbers comparison would be useful?

Mind you, I'm not getting much off 7.2W right now: A mere 29 FTA TV.

Ok: 84 TV Services in total.

TP/Network Scan, to avoid 5W.

Good stuff!

Actually, that last scan pulled in another FTA, so that's 29.

Many thanks T, I did think I did better here, but I have not checked for months, I will try a scan now and see what happens.

Martin, we've known each other a while now, so do call me G, not T :D

Sorry Gordon I do in the staff room / pm, but try not to on open forum out of politeness not knowing if it was ok, but now I have the go ahead :).

Ok it must have been the conditions, it was blowing a gale and raining when I scanned, unless I am now pulling fta from 5W G ?.

The only live transponders that I get atm Martin are these.
TBS6925 100cm Dish.
[DVB]
0=8
1=10722,V,30000,23,8PSK
2=10722,H,27500,34,QPSK
3=10758,H,30000,34,QPSK
4=10806,H,30000,34,QPSK
5=10842,H,27500,56,QPSK
6=10889,H,30000,34,NBC_QPSK
7=10925,V,21670,34,8PSK
8=10925,H,30000,34,NBC_QPSK

A blind scan found 22 transponders .All over 10925 were off 5 West.

Many thanks, only pulling 11591 V 2000 from 5W now very strong here, 31 fta channels scanned in from 4W on the last scan, I will scan in the day and see what I get:)

Just had a quick look in daytime conditions: All still locked apart from 10759 H 30000, whose Channels are pixellating.

On a good day, I can get all European transponders on Amos 2/3 but more often than not, it will be a select number of stronger channels (Xtra TV TPs are the weakest).

Receiving the SatTelecom transponder here on 4 west 11389 H 27500 @ 40% Quality = 5.4dB much stronger than a couple of months ago.
