I have just purchased a used Amstrad receiver to replace a Maspro box which has finally failed after 18 years.
I only seem able to access four or five channels, however, on the Amstrad receiver and no amount of re-tuning appears to work. The Maspro was used with Astra, which has a frequency range between 10,000-11,000, but the Amstrad has a top frequency range up to 9,999.
Will the dish need to be re-aligned or should I be able to receive Astra signals?

I hope you did not pay much for your analogue receiver, is there a reason why you did not purchase a digital receiver?

Hello!
all amstrad srd receivers,i have in the past the d2mac modell srd 650,with very good soundsystem, are not Astra 1D compatible!
this the reason why you dont get much channels, because you dont receive the 12 ghz range!

you need a freqency extender!

i have one here ,from the danish copany, johanson, with this connected between the cable, you should receive more channels!

As a fluent German speaker the service on Astra is very useful.

Every channel on Astra 19E analogue is duplicated in fta digital :)
