Looking at my analyser span, there's no analogue sigs anymore, for me anyway, in the UK.
There are still digital signals to be seen on the analyser but they are being interfered with by local 5G transmissions

So we re left with some old radio stations on sw,mw and lw :Alger chaine 3 still alive & well on LW,252Khz. But no car radios to enjoy it along the Spanish Med coast...too bad!! Marseille to Malaga used to be smooth with them.... good old days!!

And I have 2 analog receivers to watch this last channel, haha
 
We have now:

1 analog channel and 5 digital/DVB-S TV channels + other digital radios only... all the others, DVB-S2
 
Slightly off topic, sommewhere in thre back of my shed is one of the Manhattan XLT9700 receiver positioners )which I kept back for the 36V actuator section should the Uniden UST771s fail)

It has a threshold filter system built in but unsure if it runs at 70MHz or something nearer 470MHz, I may have to find and open .

Thank you for the report Frank, sadly for us PAL Dx chasers in the UK the frequency 3.730 V is in the middle of a Vipers nest of 5G cell transmissions from 3.798 to 3.600GHz area with at least four cell sites surrounding this area. If the Analog frequency was up at the top end of the band, 3.950 or higher, we might have a better chance of reception.
 
I feel like I should slap the C band LNB on to see if I get anything from there... 5G is still not in our area (barely 4G where I am), though it doesn't mean that they aren't running a billion tests.

I have a digital channel 3.870 H being captured on the GTX Combo but not strong enough to produce pics , have a go for that one
 
Yes. We don't have 5G near here.

Next 5G tower is 210km from here: city Montes Claros

I never locked any digital TPs on there I am afraid, so no chance now.
 
This guy is still receiving it in Norfolk on his 2.4m dish without threshold extension (though there's some 70MHz trickery going on). No 5G there it seems!

So I suspect I'd still get it... Perhaps a job for this weekend.

That did not end well.

1) I didn't see even a blip of a recognisable picture, even with threshold cranked all the way up. Plenty of 5G interference though.
2) My Venture actuator went snap - the gears inside are crappy nylons, so any resistance at the dish limits makes it give way... doesn't help that I haven't lubed up the actuator since getting it about 8 years ago. Thankfully I have a spare cog, so hopefully that with a bit of oil will free it up. Or do I put the SMO36 back together and strap it on instead of the PM/actuator? Hmmm

Ok,
That's a bummer - i'm also always very wary when i send the 2.2mtr lump anywhere near the East limit and want it to come back to me - due to the iffy motor cogs etc. I'm on my second replacement cog as it is and if it goes again i'm going to do what Chris has done and graft a SuperJack 36" motor onto the Venture shaft ?.. i think that's what he did. For what the Ventures cost they are not great value for the money .
 
I still think they are miles better than SuperPowerJacks - it has been on the dish for 8 years, without any maintenance and other than the cog breaking due to being used likely beyond its limits, it's been good and barely lost any positions.

It shouldn't break at all obvs but...

Blimey have we had them that long-that's gone quick. What i do like about the Venture motor drive is the speed of travel, compared to the SuperJack motor speed which is a bit too slow for my liking

Correct, I did that John just after Christmas, as the Venture shaft completely seized up, won't bother buying another, not worth the money.

My shaft also looks like it's not moving very far. Don't know if it's seized completely (and why the cog failed) or what... Is that the inside of the Venture?

Did you put the Venture motor on the 36" jack? How's it been?
