Not sure if this is in the right forum ?

I work on irs systems and we have been asked to go back to some of our systems where we incorperated some of the original security cameras. What they want us to try and do is to let the freeview box/tv pick up the camera when they scan there box/tv because a lot of the older people are finding it hard to go back and forth from analogue to digital when they want to look at the camera.

The only way i believe is to convert the camera to a digital mux and combine it with the others.

Has anybody got any insight on this problem ?

Thank you.

COFDM transmodulator required, big money and probably out of scope for discussion on a hobbyist forum.

You could do it the otherway round and setup a SMATV system, incorporating the main BBC, ITV & say a few movie channels from digital onto an Analogue system :-thumbup

Not ideal but it would work, and the old dears would love it :-sugar

No disrepct to the elderly but 99% of the time it would be easier to get my cat to sh*t outside than it would be to teach them how to use a freeview box :-lmao

Just waiting for them to mess with the muxs again so i have a load of service calls for retuning, just like in September :-ohcrap

:-beer

Nano

Thank you both

Ill look into the transmodulator, i believe promax do a few.

Then its rescanning all the boxes for every tenant
2 minutes scanning, 1 hour explaining, you know what im talking about nano :-thumbup

Thank you.
