Are these dishes any good?
I can get one , 1.2m, brand new for £50, and was wondering, is it worth that? :confused

But....are they any good?
I think timbo86 uses the same supplier as me then. Most do up here. Unfortunately they can't send them to Britain or overseas, but the price seems fantastic if the dish is reasonable quality, they had 92 left in stock this morning.
I was asking in an earlier thread if I could get Thor 6 K2 in the north west of Ireland, maybe this is just the thing for it.
At this price it may be worth trying.
Would it perform better with a C120 lnb and feedhorn or just a universal lnb? Costs you know...

That's a neat looking install by timbo86.

Just put a Black Ultra on it and it will work fine. Anything more is just a waste of money.

A steel 1.2m dish. They work, but you should get confirmation they haven't been sold off as part of a damaged reflector lot. There are plenty around.

Why do you think they are called Valustar ?

£50 not €50, but not that much difference.
They are from a satellite and aerial supplier in Northern Ireland. I think they will only allow people to buy them across the counter, they don't seem keen to deliver them, must be the size and weight that stops them, I'm not sure why, must cost more to deliver than they are priced maybe.

Im not so sure. I have used this supplier for the past three years, and they only sell quality stuff.
Ask this man maybe, see if it worked ok, I'm pretty sure he uses the same supplier.

I pay 147€ + tax for the OP120L (aluminium). I don't know how that compares but the dish is excellent quality.

Plenty of reasonable 1.2m dishes here for 50€.

The Valu Star needs a 76mm (3") mast so it's unlikely the TM diseqc motor could take it.

Well, I bought one! I built it up last night, easier than it looked.
I will be installing it next Thursday at a pub, so I will post pics then.
It's bloody heavy though.
That's my motorbike hidden behind the dish, if you look carefully!
