Annoying 7020 problem

You might have to use Dreamup and a serial Null modem lead to sort that out AS :-righton

I've stopped using the SatanKey updater as it did exactly the same thing to the image on my USB stick, I use the hacksat key updater now as it doesn't **** up your image, my appologies for not telling you sooner :-DOH!.

I would just put the newest Dream Multimedia image back onto flash and just boot the box from the USB stick with what ever image.

I did exactly the same on my 7020 once the warrenty ran out and its never ran better. Its even running Darkstar perfectly which is one thing it couldn't do before i put the newer image in flash :D

Just get it up and running on the base image and then leave the flash alone otherwise me and BG will be round to beat you around the head with a big stick :-rofl2

You can MSN me if you need to mate :)

Cheers nano. havent risked doing anything fancy with the image since I finally got it running last night. I rather suspect satankey updater is the problem, although its worked fine for ages.

Havent even set my c/s details up again yet ;)

I think Ive got hacksat on the computer so will try that one instead...

Bl00dy DB receivers. I was tempted to take it over to the flood in field opposite our cottage and drown the ****in thing earlier in the week!

The Satan Key updater is a pain in the arse. If it can't DL the files it just ****s up the image, well it does with Gemini anyway

Didn't seem to do anything with my Powerboard Enigma one image or on my Pli Iolite image, just Gemini. Might be worth mentioning it to the Gemini team if i knew who they were :-lmao

New hacksat v7a out today, I would warn against filling the flash image up with settings, emu's and everything else.
I would only ever put a cvs image in the flash and do all you farting about on the usb, can't break too much that way.
The other option is to use a backup image, ain't that right nano;)

Since I stopped playing with satan key updater it seems to have been stable. I plan to put a cvs image in central flash at some point and faff around on usb or cf card like I used to.

I wanted to make sure the bl00dy thing wasnt broken first!
