My 800PVR was not rebooted for several days now, I have not done anything else than watching TV and suddenly the box freezes. I had no other choice than to unplug the box and plug-in again.
The box starts to boot normaly, displays booting... the white bar advances till between the o and the t and then suddenly the white display shuts down (completely black) and the red led keeps blinking. Meanwhile, the TV displays the start Screen with Enigma loading.. The top 10 cm of the screen has a solid blinking color that swithes every 10 seconds to another color.
Access via the network (DCC-E2)is possible, IP is OK, FTP ok, can access the files via FTP ...
What is wrong? who can help me.

Problem solved; There is no HDisk in my DM800 and when you instruct the DM800 to "record" or "timeshift", it finds some free space on the flash memory (that is used as working space by the linux programs running). It will nicely fill up all the free space! The next time you boot, the system has not enough room to put temporary files needed during booting sequence and the boot process stops. I used DCC-E2 then FTP /media/hda1/movie and removed all the files in that folder. As soon as I removed 1 file, the boot process just continued and bingo, all is working again.
I thought that this was usefull information to share, as one can search hours on this or flash a new image on the box when its not really needed.

Why on earth did you use that function if you knew you have no HDisk. Also for a starter you certainly know your stuff I would say old chap:D
