Another Card Question

I've heard that it’s possible to get 'freesat' ' cards from Sky again for £20 thus enabling viewing of FTV channels like CH4, 5 ITV2 etc….

Does anyone know of this is true and are they tied to a particular box?
If not where is the best place to get a card? I'm a non resident.

cheers

Yes you can get the cards for £20 to watch FTV channels but they are only available to Uk residents. You either need to get someone in the UK to buy one for you or buy from the internet for a fair bit more (or eb*y). w-w-w.free$atfrom$ky.com

Thanx, so I presume these cards are not tied to a single box?
I would have thought that would make a nonsense of the FTV system. You are paying for a card to view something that should be free anyhow and Sky are hoping you will one day get sick of it and take out a subscription from them.

The cards are paired to a box, but will work on any box once activated (or at least the older ones are), but it seems to do it automatically now according to a couple of posts I've seen.

Thanks for that clarification Rolf, that's what I was trying to say, so are the one's on Ebay already activated???
