another help ccam does not read my card

Hello
I have followed all the idiot guides and flashed my dreambox 500s put in the ccam by dcc but it still cannot read my card. It starts up ok ccam starts but when I try a channel with my sky card it stays encrypted even though the card works fine in sky box and use to in my old 500s. I have tried different images and ccams different ways of installing but with no success. Is there something else that I should be doing

Flash with dreamup
Install ccam with DCC are blue panel

What does it show when you use a web browser?

replace dreamboxIP with your Dreambox IP address. Or install the CCcamInfo plugin.

You have set CCcam as your default emu and the card is active?

I have flashed gemini 4.00 image to my DM500s
installed Ccam 2.4 by the blue panel
enabled the new ccam

still no joy with my sly card but it is still active
Have tried diffrent images and Ccams but have been told this should work

No null modem cable required.

Connect the the box over LAN in the same way as you would when connecting with DCC.

Open your web browser, Firefox, Internet Explorer or whatever, type your dreambox ip into the address bar followed by :16001.
example

192.168.1.101:16001

This should display status info on CCcam, copy whatever you see and post it up here.

Have you gone to the Blue Panel and selected CCcam as the EMU then selected start?

Are you sure the card is in the right way up?

I've never had to do any tinkering with CCcam to get it working with a Sly card, I've just started CCcam, inserted the card and it worked.

I'm not sure if CCcam-Config file is important here, but I always had that installed too.

You can download it via BP or install via /tmp

EDIT: I was typing this while you made the last post.#9

I'm not sure where you copied that info from, I assume its a page from the dreambox web interface. Either way, it is not what CCcam outputs in the web interface so its irrelevant.

In your case you should be typing the following into the address bar in your web browser. Just copy and paste in the following then hit enter or click go.

192.168.1.54:16001

If this does not show CCcam status info, then CCcam is not running on your Dreambox.
Either not installed or not started.

If the DB is directly connected to the internet. The easiest way to install emu's is to download directly from the IHAD server to the Dreambox via the blue panel and install. Download the config file too, just in case.

Looks like CCcam is running ok,

If you are putting in the card the right way up I would have thought it should be working now.

Did you install a config file for CCcam? Sorry I cant be much more help to you from this point on, I dont have much experience with CCcam configuration.

Looks like the card is not inserted properly.

Thanks again looks like my smartcard reader does not work as have tried with 3 diffrent sly cards

so so happy sorted
well after many many flashes reboots and every thing else you can think of decided to call it a day as i sat there and stared at the dm 500 and stared even more i decided to get the screwdriver :-Nooo out bad idea but stuff it i thought . Unscrewed the back carefull now do not damage warrenty strip and hey presto opened up checked it over and there it was loose cardreader put it in correctly and hey presto alive
