SWMBO has just told me that my brother-in-law has just fallen for an internet scam - looking for a "cheap" flight to Thailand (where he bought a "condo" some years ago), that "stupid idiot" (and I don't use the term lightly in his case
) went to his bank and transferred £1100! (generally, it seems, that the current price is around £2000!) ) to "someone, somewhere" for a flight later this month.
Guess what, that booking was cancelled because his name was "incorrectly" passed to the airline in question and so the payment never happened
Thus, he is not going to Thailand for Xmas
