Another WTF - gone now sadly

Trying to get anything from 38 East when suddenly a huge signal appeared ..
No idea if it was land based or sky based ..
Carrying nothing inteligable ..but definately there for about 4 to 5 minutes ..it grew in amplitude ..then just as suddenly vanished ..?
Managed to grab a crazyscan of it (ignore the sat shown it WAS approx 38East)
Anything testing at this loaction on the arc ?
Out of the normal band speccy at 3469.
just wish it had hung around a bit longer ..
not even sure of polarity..

indeed - most odd
as you say its below the normal frequency for this sat ?
had a look at 38 east around 5 .00 pm when i came in from work - and AJK was active for me at 7.5 db but as usual it cut off abruptly at around 5.15

did a blind scan and picked up 2 channels (quite weak signal) that i,v not seen since last december
8XM and Apna news on 3960 V 7234 at 4.8 db

also Rohi 4098 V 3254 is in and out of lock at 4.5 db

Can't find any satellite candidates for many degrees around 38 East, using such frequency!
I fear some local interference, either on the IF frequency (you can calculate if you know your LNB LO), or the much-feared WiMAX system that often operates around 3.5 GHz. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_deployed_WiMAX_networks

Never seen anything from 38E. Badly footprint for northern Europe. Almost everything else give something between 40.5W - 90E. Another difficult is Rascom 2.9E but even there is 1 data channel which give signal (4022R) but Paksat sure most difficulty C-band sat.

Checked again this morning ...nothing there as expected..
I'm inclined to think this was a focused wi fi signal ...
certainly at this elevation ..it's a possible.
..but I'd be much happier with first contact..
Carl and Ellie would have been proud of me..
btw ..recently watched that movie CH..
actually not bad at all but not as good as the Sagan movie.

Still no lock here Nelson ..but I am on target ..
AJK approx 1.2db average with bursts up to 2.6 db ..
Insufficient for lock..
I'm definately on the limits for the birds footprint ..as I am for Azerspace ..though the latter confuses me ..
I can lock tansponders in ku on the gibby...but not in Cband.

signal strength on AJK has dropped almost 1 db now due to cloudy skies

Rohi is always borderline for me here --
try 8XM and Apna news on 3960 V 7234 at 4.8 db - in the evening.
its locking ok for me here tonight 8.00 p m -- it was below lock during the day
