There doesn't seem to be that will allow me to plug in my external aerial.

Are there any on the market?

Some of mid priced ones have removable aerials, connected by "F" connector, so can be connected to an external aerial, but haven't seen a cheap one which has a similar facility.

It won't be pretty but try touching the centre pin of the external aerial lead to the telescopic aerial of the radio. You might have to make the extension with a short piece of wire. You could also try wrapping the external aerial lead around the telescopic aerial a few times in the hope that some of the radio waves travel across by inductance.

I haven't seen one, the Pure in the mid £100 range is the only one I can find.

Edit, just seen the Pure 1-XT, I think it has a removable aerial with an "F" connector. _http://www.pure.com/support/Manuals/vl-60810/Owners%20Manual.pdf May be an older model, but still available.

Have a look at the Genus DU1 or DU2 Bug - I think discontinued but you might be able to find one.

Very cheap, but does not have speakers, you have to connect it to a HiFi unit using a phono or optical cable.
