Any lnb test reviews lately?

I Personally Found the older Golden Media 202+ models ( dual LNB ) to be the best performing on my Channel Master 1.2. It crushed my inverto's black ultras and kept the peak performance for longer. Also for some bizarre reason the brand new 202+ dual LNB's where actually better than the Single 201+ on marginal signals for me. up and sown the band I had better locks on all sorts of weak signals and partial lock on stuff i hadn't haden before.

I always had to buy them from Germany. Looks like the ones that I found that worked great 4 years ago have changed and i have no idea if the newer smaller models are any better or worse.

I suspect we are entering the enshitification phase it's going to be trial and error to figure out who is making the best LNB's. Also in this space old stock also tends to have an expiry date where the performance drops off.
 
Today, i switched Triax TSI Gold 100 with Golden Media 201 lnb, on a Edision 85 (Emme Esse) motorized dish, and can now receive
all multistream channels on 9.0 East, the 2 transponders with 9.0db are not stable, at this time

Hi, i just installed GT-SAT GT-SLRC2 lnb, it has good readings overall, on a motorized Edision 85 (Emme Esse) dish and Zgemma H11S receiver

Did anyone perform a thorough test on the 23 mm (rocket) LNBs?
I would like to know which are the best.
 
I am planning to switch to hotbird 13east because of feeds with my famaval ( i believe ) 240 satellite dish
So i am searching at the moment megasat twin high gain lnb but seems that does not actually exist!
Has someone an idea when this lnb will be again available? its the one i have put this photo here.

At the moment these i have here ... a twin inverto ultra black, a megasat high gain twin slim edition?
i believe this is older version? so maybe i will test them, but i will still search for the twin megasat high gain 4G/5G/LTE

The last time I looked there was some in eBay but the sellers were based in Germany, so you would have to check with them about shipping to the country you live in. I asked every seller on eBay and none of them would ship to the UK as an example. It might be different for countries in Europe.

If you are looking for a decent LNB with LTE filter, the Fracarro UX-TW is available throughout Europe for around E35 or less.

Mine is coming up for two years without a hitch.

Hi from France. Yes the Megasat Diavolo v3 with the little red cap seems to be a poor performer compared to the old versions (in signal level and quality and of course lower S/N ratio). This seen on a Fuba satellite dish (90 cm) multi sat on Eutelsat 9 (9° E).
 
The Megasat multifeed slim line is a good option. It has a white cap more résistant to the sun than the red caps that quickly turn pinkish-white and fall apart after a few months. Noise figure is as usual 0.1dB, gain is 60dB. 26mm diameter with its 40mm adapter.

I had a few of those: quad version. They fit easily and provide a good signal, but have a problem: when switching on one of the ports while another is active, the other ports see a brief distortion in signal.

Venton rocket LNBs also fit nicely but I also have noticed some switching problems on some of them. The practical effect is that you will
see errors in recordings if you happen to tune another channels on that same LNB.

So only use such LNBs when there is no other option.

For really closely spaced positions, the problem is not the LNB but the bracket that is too big. I have some 3D print models somewhere for modified brackets that allow closer spacing. These come in two versions: a normal one and a mirror image one. By carefully choosing between them you can gain some more space. I have: 5.0W, 0.8W, 1.9E, 4.8E, 7.0E, 9.0E/10.0E (same lnb), 13E, 16E, 19.2E, 23.5E, 26.0E, 28.2E, 36E,
39E and 42E (the latter two with an extension rail).

About the degrading cap problem (regular size LNB) : the most recent inverto PLLs I bought a few years ago also have this problem (but no switching problems). So maybe only crap is left in the market, but you can still choose what type of crap you prefer.

The last LNB I bought is a Kathrein. We will see in a few a years if its higher price pays off. I also repaired my inverto lnbs by gluing some transparant PVC on the hole where the cap used to be. This does not affect signal quality, but I wonder what will happen with rain (e.g., rain drops may stick longer or less longer) and snow.
 
For information : I have also tested the multifeed Opticum (Red Rocket) LSP-O6H. N.F. 0.1dB. Very slightly less high-performing than the multifeed Megasat. The Opticum is a nice LNB with a small red cap. Major advantage : its long body has a 40mm diameter more easy for dish pointing and focal lenght ajustment.

I bought and compared it with Inverto, now I suggest that it is a clone. Could someone tell the difference between the original LNB and the clone

Hi. In principle, this version of the Diavolo Twin is the latest, as the F-connectors on the previous version were parallel to the LNB body rather than perpendicular. However, a recurring weak point remains the use of a red cap that is too fragile for long-term use.
