OK! So I ordered a Technomate SD model and it's faulty so it will have to go back. So I have been looking at a Technomate TM5302 HD, 15,000 channel box. Has anyone got one of these and can they recommend one?

Cheers in advance.:D:D

Apparently some of our Members go to "Work" during the day!

Maybe more chance of a response later?

You could become a Pioneer ................. get one anyway and Review it for us.

No expenses would be paid, obviously!

Well, I am tempted, Tivu! I have contacted a place in Newcastle and they told me that the on-screen stuff is the same as the other Technomates. Still pondering whether to get one. It has one scart, hdmi and basic audio/video out as well ethernet port I think. :)

I have never used the box in question but I do have a t/m 6900 and an t/m 3000d and a t/m 1500 that died on me after 6 years, great support on the t/m boxes I don't think you will go wrong tony.

I still like my TM6900 and occasionally use my old TM1500 but if I was getting another TM box it would have to be the TM5402.

Incidentally, wouldn't this thread get better views outside the Linux based forums?

Great minds >> I've already been looking at the Thread Tree to see if there's a better home.

Edit: Ok, I'm going to shift it to the "What to buy" area for now. {Done}

That's given me some ideas. It just a pity the SD box I ordered had a problem (probably knocked in transit), so that's when I had the idea of getting the HD because my little Medion box is HD and I'll bet there are a good number of those channels up there on other satellites. I want to get it right with the box, though. So there we have it, two Technomates, both HD, one with 10,000 channels (TM5402D) and the other (TM5302) with 15,000. BTW, the 5302 is £20 cheaper! :)

Also read about the Spiderbox - seems nice - but then again, everyone seems to favour the Technomate box.

It's a Bank Drizzly Weekend, so you've plenty of time to not make a decision :rolleyes:

That Technomate 5402HD is beckoning! From what I read (and advised on here) that is the one to go for.:cool:

if your using the box for fringe reception and blind scanning then the TM5302HD is the one to go for and it has an excellent channel/transport stream info page

Just bought the 5402HD. I decided to go for that one being the most popular! I think I've made the right choice!:D

Congratulations Tony1A, please share your opinion here.
By the way, what are main differences between 5402 and 5302?
